Florida Keys Underwater Video
We visited twenty reefs, using nitrox scuba diving to depths of approximately 20 meters, to assess the condition of hard corals and other benthic organisms and to establish baselines for future studies. Participants included scientists from multiple universities and government agencies. UNC-Wilmington and its National Undersea Research Center provided logistical support along with the University of South Florida. NOAA and the FKNMS provided funding. Drs. Steven Miller (UNCW) and John Ogden (USF) were the lead scientists.
